This open competition assesses the ability of the final year undergraduate students to communicate their final year research findings in a short video to a non-specialist audience. Scientists extensively use this tool at present to disseminate research outcomes to the general public, industry stakeholders, policy makers and development practitioners.
Objectives:
• To encourage final year undergraduate students to share their research findings with the general public and the industry using an audio-visual language that is more compelling and understandable.
• To provide a platform for final year students to present their discoveries, innovations and ideas in a video clip to impress their potential employers.
• To appraise and acknowledge the students with extraordinary audio-visual presentation skills, creativity and sense of science communication to diverse audiences.
