Visit of Academic Delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, had the distinct honor of welcoming an academic delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, on the 24th of August 2026.

The primary focus of this distinguished visit was to explore and strengthen avenues for collaborative research and prospective postgraduate study opportunities between the Faculty of Agriculture and Gyeongsang National University. The high-level discussion, held at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, was attended by Prof. Barana Jayawardana, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, along with members of the academic staff. 

In addition to the collaborative discussions, the visit provided a valuable platform for final-year undergraduate research students to engage directly with international experts. This session offered the students expert guidance and valuable insights regarding prospective postgraduate study opportunities available at the partner institution.
