Faculty Gets New Buildings

Description

Foundation stone for a three storied building for the Department of Animal Science, as part of the Faculty Master Plan, was laid by the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Heads of the Departments of the Faculty on September 11, 2014. They were accompanied by the Acting Registrar and the Works Engineer of the University, invitees and many academic and non-academic staff members and students. The foundation stone laying ceremony was held at the auspicious time 9.40 a.m. with the blessings of Maha Sangha. The new building will be one of the largest structures of the Faculty of Agriculture. On the same day, foundation stones for the third wing of the current Administrative Building were also laid. The third wing will be occupied by the Department of Agricultural Extension and the Agribusiness Centre (abc) upon completion of construction.
