World Bee Day 2025 Celebrated at the University of Peradeniya

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, proudly hosted a vibrant celebration of World Bee Day 2025 on 25th May 2025 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall.

Organised by the beePERA Student Society in collaboration with the Bee Protection Organisation – Kandy, the event brought together students, academics, and environmental enthusiasts to raise awareness on the crucial role of bees in sustaining biodiversity, food security, and ecological balance. Under the theme “Bee Inspired by Nature to Nourish Us”, the program featured informative talks, exhibitions, and interactive sessions that inspired action toward pollinator conservation.
