Undergraduate have chance to learn about goat and sheep management practices at their practical classes conducted at the farm. They also have opportunities to involve with many researches related to small ruminant nutrition and reproduction using these facilities. Current goals of the facility are to increase the size of the flock by implementing natural insemination by initiating their heat synchronizing programme. Through that, we hope to increase the milk production from the existing herd.
Goats and sheep are allowed to graze freely on farm pasture paddocks. When pastures are insufficient, they are cut and fed. Concentrate feed is also provided according to their requirement.
