FAURS 2021/2022 WINNER OF THE POSTER PRESENTATION ON THE THEME COMMUNITY, ENVIRONMENT AND MANAGEMENT - MISS H.D.H.S HATHURUSINGHE

Faculty of Agriculture undergraduate Research Symposium (FAuRS) 2021/2022 was held on 28th December last year. The event was held at the Department of Animal Science in the Faulty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.

FAuRS is a platform for emerging young researchers to share their research findings with a wider audience. Parallel to the research symposium, annually the faculty holds competitions for undergraduates where they can showcase their talents in communicating their research findings to a general public. There are open and closed competitions. Poster presentation and the oral presentation are two major competitions which the departments send their nominees.

ad 27 oral presentation nominees and 27 poster presentation nominees. Under 4 themes, competitions were held. Miss H.D.H.S Hathurusinghe from the Department of Agricultural Extension was awarded for the best poster presentation under the theme Community, Environment and Management. Her presentation was titled as “The factors affecting the decision-making styles of branch managers of private sector banks. She has focused on analysing the effect of perceived stress, self-efficacy and the cognitive biases on the use of a certain decision making style.
