MEDIA INCUBATOR SPACE OPENING

The University of Peradeniya held the official launch of the Media Incubator Space on November 10, 2022, to inaugurate the Incubator Space. Mr. Nicolas GERARD, International Aid Cooperation Officer and Program Manager for the European Union delegation to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Mrs. Subhashi Dissanayake, Country Director for HELVETAS Sri Lanka, and Prof. M. D. Lamawansa, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, attended the event. Prof. Sarath Kodithuwakku, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Uvasara Dissanayake, the Head of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Mr. Azad Mustafa, the Programme Director of SDJF, members of the InSPIRE Team from HELVETAS and SDJF, as well as faculty members and undergraduate students from the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Arts  were also present at the

event. 
The European Union is funding the "Incubator Space for Promoting Information Right and Freedom of Expression" (InSPIRE) project, which is being carried out in conjunction with the Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum and HELVETAS Inter cooperation gGmbH Sri Lanka.
