Re-arrangement and use of the Room of the Agriculture Library allocated for the Gender Education and Women’s Initiative Unit

A space in the Agriculture Library was assigned to the Gender Education and Women's Initiative Unit (GEWIU). GEWIU received generous funding from NORAD. Funding was managed by the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA). This project should initiate work to improve gender sensitivity and inclusion in both faculty and university levels. The work of the unit continues to be closely linked to the teaching of the EX4107 Gender Issues in Development and EX5107 Gender and Development courses offered by the PGIA. Through the guidance of her current Coordinator of GEWIU, Ms. Madhavi Wijerathna, and previous communication with the Library Committee, the unit has made arrangements for the attached reading list / reading material to be displayed in the space in the Library's dedicated Gender Unit.
