Kamatha 2023 - Cultural Night

‘Kamatha 2023’ the cultural event for cultural understanding and to interact with the nearby farming community was held at the Mahailuppallama sub campus on 19^th of January 2023. The event provided an opportunity for the students of the Faculty of Agriculture, students from Katiyawa Maha Vidyalaya, and members of the nearby farming community to come together and interact. The event featured beautiful performances by first-year undergraduate students from the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as students from Katiyawa Maha Vidyalaya and members of the farming community.

Through this event,  an opportunity for the farming community and students to learn from each other about their respective cultures, traditions, and practices could be fulfilled. Also it served as a platform for building community and str

engthening social connections between the farming community and students. This could help foster a sense of belonging and promote social cohesion among them.
