Meeting with International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC)
Department academic staff had a very productive discussion with Dr. Latha Nagarajan, Agricultural Economist at the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), and her team regarding the current issues in agriculture in Sri Lanka. The IFDC is an international, non-profit, public organization established in 1974, with a mission to combine innovative research on soil fertility technologies with markets and partnerships towards sustainable agricultural solutions for improved soil health, food security, and global livelihoods. Department agreed to collaborate with IFDC in future endeavors related to soil and fertilizer-related activities organized in Sri Lanka.
