  • A workshop on Research Brief will be held on 16th February, 2019, Saturday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at the PGIA auditorium. Pl attend with the draft of the written research brief.
  • First round of evaluation of the 3MP Non-technical Competition of FAuRS 2018 will be held on 18th February, 2019 from 9.00 to 11.00 am at the Food Science Department new Building in room numbers 211 and 314.
  • The deadline for submission of photographs for the scientific eye, Non-technical competition is 20th of February, 2019.
  • The deadline for submitting the documents for the FAuRS 2018, Non-technical competition on Innovation and Invention, is 15th February 2019.

The Peradeniya University Gold Medal for the Faculty of Agriculture for Excellence in Scholastic and Extra-Mural Excellence

Applications are called for the above Gold Medal from the 2013/14 Batch Students.

Application forms could be obtained from the Examination Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.

Duly completed application forms should be directly handed over to the Examination Unit on or before 14th February 2019.

Applications will not be considered after the closing date.

The conditions of the award are:
  • Shall demonstrate highest academic excellence with CGPA of 3.50 or Above.
  • Shall participate actively in Sports, Registered Societies and Unions, Arts, Drama, Music, Literary and Creative work.
  • Shall record/excel in Research Publications
  • The Candidate shall obtain pass grades in all the courses offered for the Degree program at the 1st attempt.
  • Shall obtain a total of 75% or above for the conditions mentioned in 1,2,3 and 4 . (Selection Criteria are attached)

The last training program on the competition of Innovation and Invention has been scheduled on 1st February (Friday) at 10 am at the Board Room, Administrative Building.

This workshop will be conducted by the officers from Sri Lanka Inventors Commission. The criteria used for judging in the competition will be discussed.

The certificates for best inventions will be awarded by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission at the final stage of FAuRS.  All the students registered for these competitions should attend this training program.

  • Orientation program and welcome ceremony for the 17/18 Batch of all New Entrants Registered for BSc Agricultural Technology and Management, BSc Food Science and Technology and BSc Animal Science and Fisheries degrees of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya will be held on 18th January 2019 (Friday) at the THEATER of the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya with the participation of Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor of University of Peradeniya, Dean, Heads of Departments and Staff of Faculty of Agriculture, members of the Student Advisory and Welfare Committee, Student Union and Academic and Administrative Staff and Deans of the other Faculties.

  • All new entrants and parents are requested to be seated at the Theatre before 9.50 am.

  • In the meantime, you should fill the online data entry form using this link https://stud.pdn.ac.lk. Use your Enrollment number as your Username and your National Identity Card number as your password.

Faculty of Agriculture undergraduate Research Symposium (FAuRS -2018) is scheduled to be held on 21st February 2018. The Organizing Committee of FAuRS – 2018 has decided to form a student organizing committee to assist in FAuRS activities. A Walk-In interview will be held on 07th January 2019 (Monday) from 12 noon to 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 pm to 6.00 p.m.

At the ground floor of the Administrative Building Complex of the Faculty of Agriculture.

Those who volunteer to support FAuRS 2018 are requested to be present for the interview. Please confirm your participation to,
