Obtained his B.Sc. (Agriculture) and M.Phil (Soil and Water Engineering) degrees from the University of Peradeniya, Sri lanka. Earned his D. Tech. in Irrigation Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. He is presently serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya and involved in teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students.
